I was curious to know about rabbits. Basicly I learned that there is not much or any money in raising a few rabbits, but realistically for survivalist or preppers, it shows how awsome rabbits can be as a yearly food source or a great meat substitution that can save your family thousands in meat costs every year. Good stuff to know. This book gives you the basic rundown on what you need to know and how to prepare them.
This book has the basics of rabbit care and breeding without having to search hundreds of websites for the same info. The pictures were very helpful. I like the cost analysis best of all. This book did not contain much as far as troubleshooting, but that isn't the intent of the book. Overall I think this book is great for those just starting out, and is also suitable as a resource for older children to learn about raising rabbits to feed the family.
Was just looking for ideas. Note: check with your family before you decide to raise rabbits for meat... also these are livestock and like any farmer forget vacations of any duration.

This is the short book, but it has a lot of interesting animals including some birds, reptiles, and mammals. It includes the most well-known Australian animals such as kangaroos and koalas, but it also has less famous animals such as sugar gliders and bilbies. This book has text and illustrations. It does not have photographs. Some of the illustrations are a little stylized but they are still nice.

I just purchased it for my niece who goes to a school that is decorated with Australian animals, so I know she is going to love it. Her mom will probably be fighting her for it though because she just loves Australia. This book is perfect for people who love Australia and all the creatures of that country. It is fun to read with the rhyming verses and counting, and it is also very informative and factual.I may have to add multiple copies of this one to my collection of Marianne Berkes books that I use to teach Title 1 Reading classes. I already use Over in the Ocean, Over in the Jungle, and Over in the Arctic. I heard there's a new one coming out called Over in the Forest soon! All of Marianne Berkes' books are colorful, entertaining, informative and loved by the children (and adults) who read them!I have never had students get so excited about reading until I started using these wonderful and amazing books written by Marianne Berkes.

Of all the books on COM they either go right into using the library functions with no explination behind them or they get over techincal. This book is the best bet for someone looking to truly learn COM and the methods behind the libraries. I'd recomend this book highly.
A very easy and useful book. The book doesn't use complex C++ or compiler specific features or MFC. You need to know only about classes and a little knowledge of Win32 programming. It also explains the COM concept and how it can be used for operating systems other than Windows. I liked chapter where the author showed in few steps how to create a remote COM object running on different machine using DCOM. This book is essential if you want to learn COM

I bought two books on encaustics going by the star rating and this is by far the best of the two. It is very beginner oriented and covers just about everything you can do with hot wax painting. It is very down to earth and the author, Daniella Woolf, is a very good teacher. I have seen some of her videos on YouTube and was really pleased to find that she was the author of this book. It also comes with a DVD that I haven't had time to watch yet but I'm really looking forward to it. My only problem with the book is the size of the font. There was so much white space left on the pages I'm not sure why they chose such a tiny font for the main text and even smaller for the credits under pictures of artists' work. After 121 pages of what you can do with the wax and pictures of beautiful pictures of what other artists have done, there is 32 pages of projects the reader can do in a much smaller beginners studio. They seem a little bit simple after seeing the pictures of professional work, but they are a great starting place for a crafter like me.
I teach encaustic painting and have been looking for an easy-to-understand book to suggest to my students that would cover all of the basics of my two day introduction class. This is it!! If you are new to encaustic, start with this book. As a teacher for R&F Paints, Daniella is well schooled in the latest safety procedures, tools and materials of this addictive process. Her clear and personable style makes this a true workshop-in-a-book...but than there is a DVD to even bring the teacher into your own studio. As an someone experienced with the media, I enjoyed all of the interesting ways that the author stretched my thinking and challenged my creativity. I especially like the layout. Each new chapter is introduced by a visual montage that made me want to jump right in.
The content of the book is really very informative and the visuals are helpful. I even love the waxy feel to the book cover. My problem with this purchase is that the dvd was flawed and I could not watch it in it's entirety. After spending quite a bit of time at trying to see how to get a replacement----i gave up. As of yet, I have not found a user friendly way to get help at Amazon for a problem like this.
I have just started teaching encaustics [I teach watercolors, acrylics and watercolor batiks], so I have watched a number of You Tube clips on encaustics, looking for "supports" in teaching. I had seen Daniela Woolf on one of those clips, so bought the book. Love it and think Daniella is a very generous artist. So many instructors demo only about 70% to 80% of their process, and leave a few important steps out. This book shares everything, IMHO. I gave it four stars, because I paint with the wax as much as do collage, scraping, texturizing, etc. Would have enjoyed seeing some more actual encaustic painting techniques. Even so, it's a pretty great resource!
This is the best art tutorial book I have ever purchased. I truly feel more prepared to set out and try encaustics and to put together a practical (and safe!) Encaustics work space. Youtube is great, but this book is a fantastic primer and intro to encaustics. This will save you the time of weeding through videos and gets straight to it!
This is an excellent book, covering in detail many aspects of working with encaustic wax, and I would have given this five stars + if the DVD worked. It is extremely frustrating, because what little bit I was able to see of the DVD was excellent. It seems that some of the reviewers got bad DVDs and some got functional ones, so I took a chance that enough complaints had been made that the problem should have been rectified. Amazon should not be selling this damaged product -- does Amazon read its own reviews?
I love the book but the DVD won't play. I've clean it and tried it in 3 different players and it gets stuck and pixelated in the same spot. I can't figure out how to contact anyone about this. I don't want to return the whole thing. Anyone?! HELP?!
This is a wonderful book on encaustics. The best part though is the DVD that came in the back of the book. Daniella really takes the time to show you everything so clearly. When she applies six layers of wax, you really see her apply six layers. There is no fast forwarding here. How I would love to take a class with her some time. Although with this DVD you really feel like you have had a class with her.Bravo Daniella.

I really enjoy older man/younger woman romances, and the second book in the Men on a Mission series is excellent. The characters are interesting, well-developed and have chemistry. The story is interesting, well-written and always has a happily ever after. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.
Molly gets a job through her stepfather, Claude, working in the kitchen at a lumber camp. Molly wants to make a lot of money, so she can make a home for herself and her brother away from their stepfather's strict rules and controlling ways. Jack works for Claude as the camp boss for the lumber harvesting company. Jack is surprised when Molly shows up to work because he wasn't informed she was hired at the last minute. Jack and Molly are attracted to each other at first glance. When an accident leaves Molly without a place to bunk, Jack offers to let her bunk at his cabin. Jack and Molly confess their feelings to each other and decide to take things slow while getting to know each other while they work at the camp for the next few months. What happens when Jack finds men taking samples illegally on the land next to the camp? Will Molly tell her mother about the bad things her stepfather has done? Can Molly and her brother repair their relationship with their mother? I really loved Jacked by Kate Gilead. Jacked is a sweet romance with a couple twists and turns. I really loved the extended epilogues that let the reader know what the future holds for Jack, Molly, and their family. I would definitely recommend getting Jacked by Kate Gilead. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
A great short read that involves a lumber jack, Jack, who meets Molly, his new employee. Since Jack is the foreman on the site he had no idea about Molly and as soon as all that is squared away, an incident happens that has Molly staying with him in his cabin. Neither are disappointed in this situation, their attraction burns, grows stronger until it combusts. But Molly has her own personal problems, along with a controlling step dad, who happens to be connected to Jack...what happens when the summer is over.A great short read with steam, humour, no over the top drama and a story that’s about an older man and a younger woman who finally find the one. I liked these two and how their relationship grew, letting it build and not taking it fast, and I loved the fact that no other women came between them, no jealousies, no misunderstandings and miscommunication, and how open and honest they were with each other. A read with steam but still sweet and a I LOVED the extra epilogues on how they make out in the future and their family.*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*

Things work out great between them. However Jack finds some people on the property illegally and records them to have a friend check them out. It turns out Molly's step-father is into something illegal and when Jack reports what's going on it brings cops down on her step-father. Will this trouble cause Jack to pull away from Molly?This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jack and Molly have an instant connection and flirt back and forth. Jack makes his intentions known to the others in the camp that Molly is his and they begin a relationship. Jack and Molly go slow with things and get to know one another. When Jack discovers her step-father is up to no good, he contacts the authorities and they wait to see what will happen next. I liked this quick read. I loved the banter between Jack and Molly. I think Jack had an instant love for her and he knew she was going to be his. Good one.

Home Network Security Simplified is probably too elementary for most, but I was unsure as to how to secure my home wi-fi and this book methodically walked me through it. After getting the security features on my wireless router set up, it was sort of a "hand-against-the-head" realization along the lines of "I should have been able to figure that out by myself!" but the bottom line is I have security enabled now and I didn't before. For me, that was worth the price of the book.
