Get it, read it, believe it or don't. This book and the others have changed my life. People can talk trash all they want about Carlos, he never changed his story. His ex wife thought it was silly that people doubt his tales because when he came home to her while they were married, he told her the crazy things as they happened to him. Even as a mythology, as some feel it is, this book is profound and beautiful.

Great book from an amazing enlightened shaman

Great book that covers one of the most interesting aspect of Don Juan's teaching.The information about inorganic beings was most interesting to me.

Having read all CC's books over the years, I was pleased to learn of this one recently. I enjoyed it perhaps the best of all his works. It is considerably less cryptic than some of his earlier books. Carlos is an engaging story teller and The Active Side of Infinity is no exception. Here, though, he is not concerned with erasing his personal history, so he presents a lucid re-accounting of his most momentous experiences with Don Juan. I was especially impressed with his description of the "foreign installation" which lock the average man into his endless cycle of self reflection.

If you only buy one Carlos Casteneda book - this is it. . .course you may need to read all the previous one's to grok it?!

I have read many of the Castaneda books and enjoy their dark blend of humor and mystery. Was Don Juan a real person or one that was invented?

This a replacement book as I have had this book for years. Lost mine in a recent boating incident. An excellent read for people who are trying to grow spiritually.
